The website may use cookies that are necessary for website functionality, security, user sessions and preferences.
Where analytics or other optional services are enabled, additional cookies may be used to understand how visitors use the website.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect certain website functions.
4. Analytics
We may use analytics services to better understand website traffic and usage.
Analytics services may process information such as approximate location, device type, browser type, visited pages and interaction with the website.
Where required by applicable law, optional analytics technologies are used only after appropriate consent.
5. Embedded Content and Third-Party Services
Pages on WanderAtlas may contain embedded content or links to services operated by third parties, including maps, videos, social networks, booking platforms or other travel-related services.
Third-party services may collect data according to their own privacy policies. WanderAtlas does not control the privacy practices of independent third-party services.
6. WanderAtlas Studio
WanderAtlas Studio is an internal content management and publishing system used to organize locations, travel information, photographs, editorial materials and generated content.
Access to WanderAtlas Studio is restricted to authorized users.
Information stored within WanderAtlas Studio may include travel notes, location information, article drafts, metadata, photographs and operational information required to manage WanderAtlas content.
7. Google Drive Access – WanderAtlas Backup
WanderAtlas Backup is an internal backup service used to securely store backup copies of WanderAtlas Studio data.
WanderAtlas Backup uses the Google Drive API solely for the purpose of creating, uploading, maintaining and deleting backup files associated with WanderAtlas Studio.
The application uses the Google Drive drive.file permission. This permission is designed to limit access to files and folders created by, opened with or explicitly made available to the application.
WanderAtlas Backup does not request access to unrelated files stored in the connected Google Drive account.
Google Drive data accessed through WanderAtlas Backup is used exclusively for backup and recovery purposes.
Google Drive data is not used for:
- advertising,
- marketing,
- profiling,
- credit assessment,
- selling user data,
- training artificial intelligence models.
8. Google User Data
Information received from Google APIs is used only to provide the functionality explicitly requested by the authorized account owner.
We do not sell Google user data and we do not transfer Google user data to third parties for advertising, marketing or profiling purposes.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
9. OAuth Credentials
WanderAtlas Backup uses OAuth authorization to connect to Google Drive.
OAuth access credentials are stored securely on the WanderAtlas server and are used only to maintain the authorized connection between WanderAtlas Backup and the connected Google Drive account.
OAuth credentials are not intentionally exposed to website visitors or shared with unrelated third parties.
10. Revoking Google Drive Access
The account owner may revoke WanderAtlas Backup access to Google Drive at any time through the security and connected-app settings of the relevant Google Account.
Revoking access prevents WanderAtlas Backup from accessing Google Drive through the previously authorized connection.
11. Backup Data Retention
Backup files may be retained for a limited period according to the configured backup retention policy.
Older backup files may be automatically deleted when they are no longer required for recovery purposes.
Backup files stored in Google Drive may also be deleted manually by the authorized account owner.
12. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information.
Information may be shared with service providers only where necessary to operate the website and related technical infrastructure, for example hosting, security, analytics or cloud-storage providers.
Such providers process information according to their own contractual and legal obligations.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, regulation, court order or another valid legal requirement.
13. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, misuse or disclosure.
These measures may include restricted administrative access, authentication controls, encrypted connections, server security measures and automated backups.
However, no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.
14. Data Retention
Personal and technical information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to operate the service, maintain security, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations.
15. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal data, including the right to:
- request access to your personal data,
- request correction of inaccurate information,
- request deletion of personal data,

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
17. Children’s Privacy
WanderAtlas services are not specifically directed at children under the age required by applicable privacy law to provide valid consent to the processing of personal information.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for purposes unrelated to the normal operation of the website.
